Mobile air conditioners are the easiest route to true air conditioning in the office or home. They can be installed easily, connecting into a 13 amp socket and are ready to use immediately. Mobile air conditioning units work by taking heat from a room and expelling it outside. Air inside the room is chilled and recirculated. There are two main types of mobile, single units and split systems.

Room sizes are given an approximate guide*.
They are calculated on the basis of 40 watts needed to cool 1 cubic metre (4 Btu/h per cubic foot).

As a rough guide to working out the room capacity.

1. Multiply Length x Width x Height of the room to be cooled = cubic capacity.

3. Select which model in the range is closest in cooling capacity to your requirements.

Please note
When determining the model best suited for your room remember that each room has its own characteristics, so heat gain should be considered, e.g..

• South and West facing windows
  
• More than 2 people in a room
  
• Office Equipment

These will add more heat to a room so a more powerful air conditioner will be required.
